No, but it is more advantageous in combination with solar panels. With a dynamic energy contract the battery can also charge from the grid when prices are low and discharge during peak hours.

The statutory warranty applies to the execution of the installation in accordance with AVIC terms: the installation work must comply with applicable standards (NEN 1010, NEN 3140) and the agreed specifications. Any defects in execution will be remedied at no cost.
Equipment is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. EV chargers typically carry 2 to 3 years manufacturer's warranty depending on the brand. ZYC home batteries have a 10-year warranty on the battery modules. Victron Energy components carry a standard 2-year warranty. We assist you with processing a warranty claim.
Every installation is tested and commissioned at handover. If something doesn't function afterwards, in most cases it is a product issue. Contact the manufacturer. ERE stands for Emission Reduction Units. Oil companies are legally required to offset their CO₂ emissions; they do this partly by reimbursing the charging costs of electric drivers. For every kWh charged through a certified charger, the owner receives an ERE certificate that is sold to oil companies. This is not a government subsidy but a market mechanism that came into effect on 1 January 2026.
To qualify for ERE certificates your charger must have an integrated MID-certified metering module. An externally mounted meter does not count. Not every model includes this as standard: if ERE is important to you, choose a charger with an integrated MID meter. We advise you on which options are available.
